Hindusthan National Glass & Industries (HNGIL), a Madhvani-Turner Group subsidiary, has announced plans to deploy an additional ₹300–500 crore in capital expenditure during the current financial year to ramp up its manufacturing infrastructure.
Following its ₹2,250 crore takeover by Independent Sugar Corporation in September 2025, the glass manufacturer has already injected roughly ₹700 crore into its operational turnaround. These efforts have added 1,100–1,200 tonnes per day in total capacity, highlighted by the recent firing of a second furnace at its Bahadurgarh unit in Haryana and the February recommissioning of its Puducherry facility (contributing 330 tonnes per day). According to Chief Strategy Officer Suraj Mehta, the strategic expansion and efficiency gains are expected to enhance profitability starting this quarter.
